Sometimes, late at night, firemen slip into heels and dance with their poles, spinning, dipping, and stripping away cumbersome fireproof coats and burdensome notions of masculinity. Get a fireman's acrobatic workout with twice as much confidence with today’s Groupon: for $20, you get four 50-minute dance or fitness classes at Oh My You're Gorgeous in Mars (a $60 value). Owner and nationally renowned instructor Stephanie Babines and her team guide students toward increased strength, confidence, and flexibility in empowering, female-only classes. Instructors impart pole-dancing basics in Pole 101, helping new dancers to tone and trim while learning 20 beginner moves. The Poleitude (Pole Tricks with Attitude!) class focuses on technique to help slinky students to fine-tune eye-catching poses, transitions, and sexy spins without the risk of injuring themselves, and the Pole Conditioning class readies students to tackle more advanced moves or carousel race horses. Students' feather boas will get as much of a workout as their lower bodies in the stiletto-heeled Burlesque class, and equally intensive Belly Dancing and Hoop Dancing sessions help to slim down shimmying forms. A healthy sampling of yoga, Pilates, Zumba, and other dance and fitness classes fills the packed schedule.
The swank studio features five poles, a mirrored stage, and padded cardio flooring to cushion sassy Zumba dance moves and gravity-foiled pole spins. Instructors provide free weights and other fitness supplies, and a wardrobe of dress-up clothes and accessories lets students experiment with flirty ensembles or perfect Liza Minnelli impressions. Dressing rooms feature an arsenal of towels, lotions, perfumes, and cosmetics for students who wish to freshen up.

Stephanie Babines had to fight to open her pole-fitness studio. The battle pitted her First Amendment rights against zoning regulations, and was featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and USA Today when the ACLU took on the lawsuit to get her permit. Stephanie's passion for self-expression has not faded, and today she and her instructors teach dance- and cardio-workout classes six days a week to help ladies of every age and build express themselves and achieve a sense of empowerment.
It's no surprise that Stephanie is serious about her craft. She has trained under the same choreographers who have coached Beyonce, Rihanna, and Britney Spears, and holds certifications in Advanced Pole and Hoopnotica dance. Her studio boasts amenities such as a spa and a dressing room fully stocked with towels and cosmetics. When they aren't twirling from the studio’s five onsite poles, she and her team might be throwing private bachelorette parties or fantasy photo shoots.
