Oktoberfest at Buchanan Park

On Sunday, September 22, Oktoberfest at Buchanan Park will conjure the festive spirit of Bavaria in the middle of the Rockies. Taps will run with beers from local microbreweries, vendors will ply the crowd with flame-grilled brats and other hearty foods, and four bands will take the stage for live performances and staged readings of Martin Luther's 95 theses. When the clock strikes 5:30, one lucky raffle winner will even receive the keys to a 1971 VW Karmann Ghia.

Although Oktoberfest celebrates beer in all of its forms, not every event is intended for guests aged 21 and up. The festival will also feature an array of age-appropriate activities for children in attendance. Hosted by the Evergreen Recreation & Park Foundation, Oktoberfest has historically raised funds to support the facilities and programs of the Evergreen's Parks and Recreation District.
