Small plates and entrees include bulgogi sliders with kimchi and Sriracha aioli ($12), a choice of three crostini ($12), and the seasonal seared filet with a pickled fennel slaw ($14). Brews range from Fuller’s hearty London Porter ($10.50) to the pale Mill Street Tankhouse Ale ($6.50).

One One Eight

Low lights, exposed brick, and comfortable, park-bench seating contribute to what Avenue Edmonton Magazine describes as “an early-20th century industrial aesthetic” at the brand-new brewpub One One Eight, which opened in August 2012. The menu takes tavern staples and adds an international twist. The beef in the sliders is spicy Korean bulgogi, and the old-fashioned fried chicken is updated with a side of fresh tomatillo salsa.

Offerings from the diverse menu of craft beers such as Dieu du Ciel, Mill Street, and Brewdog pair well with a large selection of crostinis topped with white bean puree, tomato jam, pancetta, and even candied lemon. Drinkable desserts on the “Wobbly Pops” menu include a blackberry mojito and the Tweaked—a spiked sundae made with vanilla vodka, kahlua, baileys, milk, and chocolate syrup.

The Groupon Guide to: Controversial Cookie Ingredients

Not all cookie ingredients are created equal. We collected some quotes from frequent cookie consumers about the cookie ingredients they love to not enjoy. How many of these people do you strongly disagree with?

Golden Raisins: Sally Amsterfield of Warburn, Maine, says: "More like golden hate 'ems!"

Chopped Dates: Bill Waxly of Pinoa, Idaho, says: "If you have a first date, there might not be a second—yuck!"

Coconuts: Former president B. Clinton of 123 Whitehouse Lane is quoted as saying: "You'd have to be coco-nuts to eat that stuff!"

Cranberries: Hero astronaut Vanessa Maybury reports from the International Peace Satellite Persephone: "We're running out of oxygen—from gasping for an edible cookie! These cranberries should be called bland-berries. Please send help, over.”

Peppermint Chips: Dave "The Diamond" Reynolds says: "This is the first I'm hearing of these. I guess they could be good in the right kind of cookie but definitely not for every day. How did you get into my home?"

What are the least popular cookie ingredients of all time?
