Open Studio

Just as yoga bridges the gap between mind and body, Thomas Slattery hopes to bridge the gap between art and fitness. As an artist himself, Thomas believes his passion for yoga, his background in professional dance, and his love of painting and sculpting aren't mutually exclusive. In fact, he believes that they can work in tandem to actually enhance creativity. In an article for Star News, he stated, "when you are in a place of peace, inspiration can flow freely...we want to create a place where the community can open themselves to strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and their own creative process." To that end, he and his staff of instructors at Open Studio oversee a selection of yoga and barre fit classes, as well as a yoga-themed boutique stocked with pieces from local and national artists.
