Horses are some of the most perceptive animals, as evidenced by the saying, You can lead a horse to water, but you can't explain his intimate knowledge of your childhood fears. Tap into equine insight with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $39 for a horsemanship-and-riding workshop for one (an $80 value)
  • $75 for a horsemanship-and-riding workshop for two (a $160 value)
  • $139 for a horsemanship-and-riding workshop for four (a $320 value)

Workshops of up to eight students will meet the horses, learn different breeds and anatomy, and receive a basic overview of safe riding. Each participant will also make a horse craft and play games while both leading and riding. Proceeds go toward funding a nonprofit for equine-assisted psychotherapy for adolescents and veterans.

Out Side In

Saddling over 90 years of combined horsemanship experience, including competition at the national level, the instructors at Out Side In focus their equestrian energies on benefitting the greater good. Led by executive director and psychotherapist Jennifer McVoy, the team spends much of its time focusing on equine-assisted psychotherapy, or EAP, a therapeutic approach that aims to improve quality of life for at-risk youth by using horses as catalysts for social and emotional growth. Riding lessons, offered in the disciplines of both English and Western, are aimed at helping riders of all ages and skill levels improve self esteem by walking a mile in someone else's horseshoes. Beginners can expect to start with the basic, entry-level skills of horse care, anatomy, saddling, and safety techniques before progressing to more advanced skills, such as jumping, barrel racing, or riding a horse through a drive-thru.

The Groupon Guide to: Blowing Kisses

Any love-struck fool can form a crude pucker and exhale over an open palm, but it takes a true master to pull off any of these advanced kiss-blowing maneuvers:

  • The Train Whistle
  • The Heart-Shaped Puff
  • The Over-the-Shoulder Bolder Smolder
  • The Taste the Rainbow (Skittles trickle out)
  • The Take Back JK Here You Go Don’t Cry
  • The Silent but Deadly but Romantic
  • The Indecent Proposal (blows wedding ring directly onto finger)

Have you ever blown anyone a kiss? Not like this, I bet.
