In a Nutshell

Dogs learn basic commands and how to walk on a leash without pulling during private or group obedience classes

The Fine Print

  • Expires 120 days after purchase.
  • Limit 1 per person, may buy 3 additional as gifts. Valid only for option purchased. Limit 1 per visit. Appointment required. 24hr cancellation notice required. Not valid for dogs with aggressive behavior.
  • See the rules that apply to all deals.

Dogs must learn to obey their masters, or they will never follow such common commands as "sit" and "show me the value of life through years of companionship." Learn from each other with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $45 for two private obedience lessons for one dog (a $90 value)
  • $89 for a four-week obedience class for two dogs and two owners (a $200 value)

The four-week obedience class covers all the basic commands including sit, down, stay, and come, as well as walking on a leash without pulling. Private lessons cover the same material, but with more one-on-one attention from the instructor.

Out Yonder Dog Training

Cindy Robertson, the owner of Out Yonder Dog Training, started working with man’s best friend more than a decade ago, and eventually made it her career after graduating from the Tom Rose School for professional dog trainers, in 2007. Since then, she’s worked as a detection-dog handler as wells as a trainer and evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program, a national obedience-certification program. Today, she helps pups learn to sit, stay, and tell the difference between a salad fork and a dinner fork during private or group obedience classes that cover all the basic commands.

The Groupon Guide to: Valentine's Day Leftovers

For some people, the most difficult thing about Valentine's Day is deciding what to do with all the leftovers. Here are some suggestions of what to do with the day-after detritus:

  • Melt down chocolates and put them in little ghost-shaped molds to start stocking up for Halloween.

  • Once roses start to wilt and dry out, use their thorns to make devil horns for a naughty dog or precocious toddler.

  • Diamond shavings are glitter.

  • Recycle a Valentine's Day card by crossing out the part that says "Lisa, I will always love you. You are my angel and my strength" and writing "Deepest sympathies on the anniversary of your terrible comeuppance!"

  • Leftover candy hearts? More like delicious croutons!

Sweet croutons, this salad is good!
