Students move through Hatha yoga poses on the shores of Kitsilano and Wreck Beaches. Wreck, in addition to acting as a habitat for all manner of wildlife, including eagles and great blue herons, is a nude beach. Students perform the poses clothed. Starting in October, classes take place once a week at Sacred Space Studio. See the class schedule.

Pacific Bliss Yoga

Pacific Bliss Yoga whisks clients out of stuffy studios and into the fresh, beachside air of Kitsilano and Wreck Beaches. Instructors guide students through proper alignment and breathing patterns throughout the roughly 75-minute meditative sessions, allowing them to carry out sun salutations across a grassy knoll or along the shoreline, when the tide or Poseidon’s border-crossing guards allow it. In the winter months, yogis pack up their mats and reluctantly move indoors to the sunny, wood-floored rooms of Sacred Space Studio. Focused on facilitating a deep connection between mind and body—and determined to throw any and all disrespect to the wind—the Pacific Bliss team welcomes and encourages students of all ages, sizes, and abilities.
