Everybody unwinds from a stressful day differently—some people get massages, whereas others watch flames engulf big piles of tires. Let tension melt away with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $39 for a 70-minute therapeutic massage (a $110 value)
  • $59 for an 85-minute introduction to structural-integration bodywork session (a $130 value)
  • $99 for a 3.5-hour couples massage class (a $220 value)

A therapeutic massage helps to lengthen, decompress, and unwind the spine as it increases circulation. Structural integration works to realign and rebalance the body, whereas deep-tissue bodywork relieves aches and pains. During the couples massage class, which is taught by Steven and Holly Padgen, couples learn how to give and receive 60-minute professional massages from their partners.

Padgen Institute of Healing Arts

In the human body, issues such as pain and limited mobility rarely stem from a single cause. That's why the Padgen Institute fused four massage styles into a signature method, instead of sticking to one approach. More than 20 years of practice provide the basis for the Padgen Method, which calls on both elements of structural integration to align the joints and lengthen fascia and craniosacral therapy to jump-start the body's own healing mechanisms. At the same time, Swedish and Esalen massage techniques ease tension lurking just beneath the surface. At his eponymous Padgen Institute of Healing Arts, Steven personally instructs each therapist in the ways of his signature technique to ensure that he or she can ease pain and help realign energy pathways.

The Groupon Guide to: Getting to the Head of the Class

It's a proven fact that people who do well in school are more likely to rise to the top of competitive job markets and prison hierarchies. Here are some tips for becoming the cream of the academic crop:

Bring Your Teacher an Apple: Teachers are notoriously starved for potassium because they're so busy teaching everyone else that they don’t have time to teach themselves about nutrition.

Answer Every Question: Teachers don't know the answers to anything, which is why they have to ask their students. Help out the people who were so busy teaching that they never had time to learn.

Watch TV Instead of Doing Your Homework: Teachers are so busy teaching that they have no time to watch TV. You're the only one who will be able to fill them in on the hilarious happenings during the most recent episode of I'd Like to File a Complaint—About My Wife!

Is your child's teacher potassium deficient? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
