Archaeologists examine ancient pottery to identify a culture’s preferred cooking methods and to determine which of its members was the World's Greatest Dad. Make timeless memories with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of pottery painting at Paint N' Fire Ceramic Studio in West Linn.

At Paint N' Fire, shelves of unfinished plates, mugs, and other ceramics ($8–$65) wait to be adorned by walk-in painters of all skill levels. Artists work at tiled tables in an earth-toned studio, using sponges, stamps, stencils, and speckling tools to create imagery that's wildly innovative, beautiful, or commemorates the ancient Athenian victory at Marathon on pottery ready to be filled with flowers, pencils, or wishes. Pottery painters can also use an onsite copier to magnify or reduce graphics, print those images onto transfer paper, and subsequently apply those decals to ceramics. Within a week after studio sessions, kiln-fired masterpieces are ready for pickup. Although not included in today's Groupon, guests can gather groups of 6–15 grownups to book after-hours adult party packages and spend three hours painting pottery and imbibing BYOB beverages, or schedule a kids party during normal operating hours.
