  • $45 for a two-hour BYOB painting workshop for two (a $100 value)

During each laid-back session, a skilled instructor guides students of all artistic levels through the steps of creating their own version of a specific painting, such as Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss or Van Gogh’s Almond Blossom. Canvases usually come with presketched images, allowing artists to dive right into the activity. All supplies are included, and students can bring their own wine or beer. Check the calendar for class times and painting options.

Painting Lounge

After earning his BFA at the nationally renowned Rhode Island School of Design, Kevin Tarasuk began exhibiting his darkly surreal paintings at galleries around his hometown of Miami before making the move to New York City. Now, he helms the Painting Lounge, a personable art studio where students learn the proper techniques of painting, such as composition, shading, and glaring at clocks until they melt. In both workshops and private sessions, Tarasuk has earned praise from his ecstatic students, who have heralded him as “a very, very talented artist” and “a patient and engaging teacher.”
