$2,800 for LASIK or PRK Surgery for Both Eyes (Up to $5,600 Value)

Blade-free IntraLase procedures correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism with a computer-guided excimer laser with eye-tracking technology. During the 10- to 15-minute LASIK procedure, a blade-free IntraLase laser creates a corneal flap, which the surgeon folds back before reshaping the cornea with the excimer laser. The surgeon then replaces the corneal flap, which re-bonds with the rest of the cornea on its own without sutures. This procedure yields virtually no discomfort, and patients can typically see well enough to drive the day after the procedure. PRK uses the same excimer laser with eye-tracking technology to reshape the cornea. Unlike LASIK, the outer layer of the cornea (the epithelial cells) is completely removed in order to allow the excimer laser to reshape the deeper corneal layers. Because of this, recovery time can be longer than that of LASIK as the corneal layer must replace itself, which can take a few days. PRK is often an option for patients whose corneas are too thin for the LASIK procedure. This Groupon includes a complimentary consultation and an eye exam, performed by the surgeon, to determine if you are a candidate for laser vision correction. In addition to the procedure, the Groupon includes a year of follow-up visits and a two-year warranty that covers any necessary touchups. Though rare, some patients may require surgical enhancements after the warranty is up, but they only need to pay half the original cost of the treatment. This discount is good for life. If the surgeon determines during the consultation that the patient requires a Custom Vue treatment, it will cost an additional $300 per eye. This Groupon can be combined with a flex plan for additional savings.

Pan Pacific Laser Vision Center

Pan Pacific Laser Vision Center was founded by one of the earliest practitioners of PRK laser treatments, Dr. Donald Johnson, who brought his pioneering no-touch PRK procedure from his native Canada to Hawaii in 1997. Over the next 15 years, the center's team of surgeons amassed more than 26,000 procedures, attracting patients from around the world, as well as surgeons looking to sharpen their own vision-correcting skills via the center’s training program.

In keeping with the pioneering spirit of its founder, the center stays on the leading edge of vision-correcting technology, using Wave Front eye-mapping and employing an arsenal of laser equipment. With such tools, its doctors can perform procedures such as bladeless iLASIK, LASEK, and PRK, which is best for individuals with thin corneas.

The Groupon Guide to: Escaping a Glass Prison Cell

With new weird laws constantly being passed, there's a good chance you'll probably be convicted of an obscure crime and sentenced to imprisonment in a large glass holding cell. Here's how you can get out:

  • Glass will melt at a certain temperature, but why bother going through all that trouble when you can just break it by throwing yourself against one of the walls?

  • Look around for structural weaknesses. If you can't find any, you're not looking hard enough because that holding cell is composed of large pieces of easily breakable glass.

  • Turn around and pick up that 40-pound sledgehammer that's been sitting in the corner this entire time. When your adrenaline starts pumping from lifting that heavy sledgehammer, put it back down and use that adrenaline surge to propel your body straight through the glass.

  • In movies, people are always shattering nearby drinking glasses and windows by singing in an unbearably high pitch. Do the same thing, but instead of singing, just use any solid part of your body to smash that glass!

When is your town getting a glass prison?
