Park Tavern

Though Park Tavern is practically within slap-shot range of the United Center, it’s not just for grabbing quick, pregame drinks. The brand-new, 10,000-square-foot space boasts plenty of action for ticketless spectators. For starters, they get a great view of the game on dozens of TVs and a 14-foot projection screen that stretches high across the back wall. And if that's not enough of a draw, there’s the bacon jam. The inventive appetizer reflects a menu that combines ingredients from the farm and the brewery and features meats that are smoked in house. Patrons can debate over who gets to order dishes such as a brisket sandwich with red-ale-spiked mustard or animal tots, a variation on poutine that smothers tater tots with pulled pork, cheese curds, a fried egg, and gravy brewed from Bell’s Kalamazoo Stout.

Behind the bar, craft beers dominate as guests can easily see from the rainbow of 40 taps. The drafts pay homage to Illinois' penchant for crafting beer with 11 state breweries on tap including Chicago-bred Revolution, Goose Island, and Half Acre, as well as popular breweries ranging from Bell's in Michigan to coastal favorites such as California’s Lagunitas and Maine’s Sea Dog. To keep regulars intrigued, the tavern also boasts seven taps for seasonal brews and rotating selections. Additionally, table taps empower patrons to pull their own suds, and the units can be outfitted with beer or vodka—a nod to the liquor's popularity at Park Tavern. The list of gourmet cocktails includes pomegranate margaritas and the French 75, a blend of Hendrick’s, fresh lemon juice, cane syrup, and champagne.
