PDQ Farm

Instructor Cheryl Frazier takes a holistic approach to her horseback riding lessons; rather than just teaching students how to ride, she also imparts grooming and tacking skills. That way, her students form a bond with their horses before hopping on their backs to guide them through European and Western riding techniques. She caters her lessons to accommodate beginner- to advanced-level riders, and some of her more experienced protégés make up a blue-ribbon-winning show team and a 4H Club dedicated to showing horses and providing community service. The farm is also home to a tack and consignment shop, which stocks gently used show outfits and last year’s fashionable neon pink and glittery horseshoes.

The Groupon Guide to: Having One Million Dollars

One million dollars is the largest amount of money any human can conceive of, much less accumulate over a lifetime. Here are the extravagant items you’re required to purchase once you achieve the only financial goal worth pursuing:

  • Portrait of yourself stroking a fluffy cat and/or skull
  • Carelessly amassed pile of boats
  • Rare Superman comic where he punches out Eisenhower
  • A roaring indoor fire
  • A man in white gloves who isn’t the butler, don’t hand him anything (wearing white gloves is the man’s entire job)
  • Ancient statue of a dead Greek hunk
  • Oh man, a pool table!

What extravagant item can no rich person live without?
