Weeklong karate camps coaches youths in the self-defense techniques of martial-arts regimens, with three classes each day focusing on shorin-ryu karate and jujitsu. Between classes, kids play games, build leadership skills with team-building exercises, and head out on field trips to such locations as the Phoenix Zoo. Campers also practice with weapons, learn self-defense, and also participate in arts & crafts and go on weekly field trips. Upcoming camps include Fall Break on October 15–19, Winter Break on December 24–28 and on December 31–January 4, and Spring Break on March 11-15 and March 25-29. Camps run from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day.
