Choose from Four Options

  • $20 for a step-by-step BYOB art class for one (a $45 value)
  • $30 for a step-by-step BYOB art class for two (a $90 value)
  • $50 for a step-by-step BYOB art class for four (a $180 value)
  • $84 for an original 11"x14" custom graphite sketch or watercolor painting (up to a $200 value)

BYOB art classes take place in Lincolnton from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, in Charlotte from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, and in Matthews from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays. All materials are included.

For graphite sketches and watercolor paintings, customers must provide a picture of their subject matter, either by uploading it to the Personal Artist Studio website or by mailing a physical copy to the studio. Personal Artist Studio

Laurie Bostian founded Personal Artist Studio as a way to combine her two greatest passions: teaching and art. For more than 25 years, she has specialized in creating custom portraiture and paintings, and her work has traveled to private collections in countries from the United States to Canada to Great Britain to Australia.

When Laurie isn't transforming personal pictures into graphite, acrylic, or watercolor keepsakes, she leads weekly art lessons in Lincolnton and Charlotte. Students of all skill levels gather for relaxing, therapeutic creation sessions. Burgeoning artists learn to wield graphite, acrylics, pastels, and watercolors to craft their own masterpieces or awe-inspiring grocery lists.
