Choose from Three Options

  • $22 for an introduction-to-climbing package for one (a $45 value)

  • $39 for an introduction-to-climbing package for two (a $90 value)
    First-time climbers learn basic climbing techniques as well as how to operate safety ropes and tie knots in a one-hour class. Then, climbers practice skills on their own with the included equipment rental and day pass.

  • $49 for a family introduction-to-climbing package (a $118 value)
    Two adults take a climbing lesson that includes instruction on safety. As the adults focus on their lesson, staff members belay for two children, aged 4–13. When the introductory course concludes, adults and children meet up and enjoy all-day access to rental equipment and the gym's climbing terrain. Children aged 16 or 17 can participate as adults with a waiver signed by their legal guardian.

All introductory classes are scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weeknights and all day on weekends.

Philadelphia Rock Gyms

Philadelphia Rock Gyms challenges climbers of all skill levels with 2,000 square feet of climbing terrain, 1,500 square feet of bouldering plains, and more than 30 top ropes. Initiates to the vertical sport can get the hang of climbing basics during the gym’s variety of lessons, which impart skills such as proper technique, safety, and the ability to tell which rocks open a supervillain's secret lair. The gym also features a variety of team-building opportunities and private room rentals, as well as a pro shop that outfits patrons with the proper climbing equipment available for rent or purchase.
