  • $62 for a three-hour workshop, customized to your needs ($150 value)

Small group outdoor workshops of three to five people instruct students how to use their digital cameras in modes outside the basic point and shoot functions. Participants may choose a city or trail experience workshop with tips on light, composition, and posing, in addition to tips on how to operate advanced camera functions. Prior to class participation, instructor, Philip Rogers, will email participants a materials list along with a questionnaire about their camera equipment.

Philip Rogers Photography

What do U.S. Senator Olympia Snow, Dulce Vida tequila, and the Portland Symphony Orchestra have in common? They've all been professionally photographed by Philip Rogers. Rogers' extensive 25-year career has led him to work nearly every angle of the photography trade, from magazine and newspaper photography, to photography for weddings, corporate events, and live performances. Despite the scope of his expertise, he's equally adept at capturing small-scale subjects, like family portraits or engagements, as he is documenting sporting events and fashion shows. And when he isn't busy working behind the lens, he imparts his wisdom to aspiring shutterbugs with hands-on workshops that cater to photographers of all experience levels.
