Phoenix Center for the Arts

For the last 37 years, art pieces, performances, and music have filled the halls of Phoenix Center for the Arts. The nonprofit center’s array of adult and youth art programs spans disciplines from ceramics and glassworking to printmaking to music. The Intro Modern/Contemporary dance class acquaints kids aged 6–11 with basic balance and coordination techniques; photography classes for adults or two kids stacked on top of each other inside a trench coat offer a wealth of knowledge on both film and digital techniques. Monthly First Friday Phoenix events celebrate community arts with exhibitions of work by the Center’s resident artists and emerging local artists alike, spoken-word performances, and music.
