I do not currently have a working camera, but am very interested in taking a photography course. Would you recommend that i wait until i do have a camera to take this course or is it not necessary?

Hi, Mayyadah. A camera is required to take the course. The camera best suited for this course is either a DSLR or Point-Shoot Camera with manual controls (Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual and Program Mode). These settings give you the ability to control your exposures. Thanks for writing!

will the software they provide be enough to completer the class? will we have to or be able to buy the software and for how much? Will we be signed up or obligated to buy other products. What certificate with this deal?

Hi, Martha. The trial version of the software is valid for 30 days, and is fully functional. If you intend on taking longer then 30 days to complete the course, you would need to secure the software independently after this period. There are several certification options available for students who complete the course. They offer a certification directly through their institute. In addition, students can opt to complete the ACA (Adobe Certified Associate) and ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) certifications. What will I be able to do in the professional world with a Photography Certificate? What schooling comes after that to start my own Photography business? I have a Mac, will I still be able to follow the online class?
