Although honeybees instinctually communicate through dance, humans who attempt to do so without proper training risk insulting the queen or eating the wrong flowers. Hone buzz-worthy abilities with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

On Sunday, June 2, Latin dancers take the stage aboard a cruise boat on the Hudson River. As guests enjoy a Latin-themed buffet, they’ll soak in performances by the Piel Canela dance company and other professional dance troupes. The boat features three levels with different types of dance on each. The 1st is dedicated to Zouk and Kizomba; the 2nd to Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue; and the 3rd, an open deck subject to weather conditions, a Latin mix with DJ Cocotaso. The boat sets out at 1 p.m.

Piel Canela Dance and Music School's diverse roster of classes includes cha-cha, ballet, salsa, Zumba, swing, and belly dancing, among many others. The schedule changes regularly and includes offerings for students of several skill levels.

Piel Canela Dance and Music School

The instructors of Piel Canela Dance and Music School are spreading the word with their feet. A nonprofit organization devoted to introducing newcomers to the sounds and steps of salsa and mambo, Piel Canela's team works to teach students not only the steps of dance but an appreciation for the music and culture from which they sprung. Latin dances—along with ballet, hip-hop, Zumba, and competitive standing—dominate the class lineup, and workshops, socials, and salsa vacations are offered to deepen students' skill sets. While the school's focus is centrally on losing one's extra left foot, the school also holds classes in art, Spanish language, and music.
