Ranked 138 in the world, Fred Dewitte, play tennis! San Diego’s head instructor, brings his NCAA Division I playing experience to every lesson he teaches for adult and junior students. Fred tailors lessons to the individual player’s skill level and ultimate goals, be it an improvement of stroke mechanics, physical fitness, or more thorough enjoyment of the game. Fluent in Japanese, English, and French, Fred can help native speakers of all three languages improve their arguments with line judges and translate opponents’ grunts. Lessons take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. In Mission Bay, beginners take the court at 5:30 p.m. on Monday and 10 a.m. on Saturday. Intermediate players start an hour later on both days while juniors play on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. In La Jolla, beginners start at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday with intermediates following right behind. Juniors start at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
