PODS securely carts and caches furniture, clothing, and other personal possessions using its mobile PODS containers. To accommodate each client's needs, the company will deliver a container (available in three sizes) to any location in Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, which storage seekers can then leisurely fill with boxes, knickknacks, and Christmas presents for nosy children. Once full, containers can be held at a local PODS storage center, left on-site in driveways, or delivered to a new destination for unpacking.

Rates vary depending on how large the container is, how customers plan to use it, and transportation requirements. When held at a secure PODS storage center, prices generally range from $129.99 per month for 7-foot or 12-foot containers to $174.99 for 16-foot containers, with additional charges for both delivery ($59.99–$89.99) and pick-up ($59.99–$89.99). Those planning to store the container at their house as an industrial addition to art-deco lawn arrangements should expect rental prices ranging from $109.99 to $154.99, with additional charges for both delivery ($59.99–$89.99) and pick-up ($59.99–$89.99). Customers planning to use a container to move from one home to another will pay the at-home rental rate as well as a moving price determined by distance.
