Before cameras, people seeking to leave a legacy could only hope to secure their place in future textbooks by poisoning the emperor. Avoid being a mere footnote with this Groupon.

$65 for a Custom On-Location Photo-Shoot Package ($250 Value)

  • 30-minute on-location photo shoot for up to five
  • Pre-consultation before the shoot and purchasing appointment after, both done in-studio
  • $100 credit toward prints, products, and packages

Up to five people sit, stand, or levitate at one of four locations. Beacon Hill Park's 62 acres offer floral sunbursts, rustic stone bridges, and viridian hills all within Victoria's borders, whereas the gardens at Government House blossom in more formal, manicured geometries. Water and woodland wait with untamed beauty at Beaver Lake Park, and the long, sandy banks at Island View Beach present panoramic seascapes in sight of Haro Strait and James Island.

In a purchasing appointment after the shoot, customers choose their favorite images, which the photographer will touch up and make into gift prints (starting at $50 each). Customers can also use the credit toward canvases, enlargements, and keepsake albums. See the FAQ.

Poppy Photography

Tamara Poppitt may be the one behind the camera at Poppy Photography, but she credits her love of the art form to her husband Jon, daughter Lauren, twin sons Harrison and Hudson, and Georgia, the old english sheepdog. The Poppitt family is a recurring topic on her largely visual blog, where the portraitist's bottomless enthusiasm and practiced eye for colour and composition are immediately apparent. Tamara excels at crafting photographic narratives—a format perfect for weddings, family portraits, and creating a skimmable version of Finnegans Wake.
