If you are new to pilates, which class would you be eligible to take? I want to make sure before buying this groupon I can actually attend classes. Thanks.

I tried to do a search online for the classes in Midtown and it asks if you want duet, master private, etc…Which one would we do for the Groupon deal?

Hi, the Groupon description makes it sound like you can only call to reserve class space, but I saw on your site that you have an online reservation system too. Can we use that with the Groupon?

Hi Groupon Users! I’m Travis from Power Pilates. Let me answer some of your questions. The Groupon offer is for Open Pilates Mat classes. These are a group classes that will teach you the fundamental exercises of the pilates method and cater to ALL FITNESS LEVELS. You are allowed to take any class on the schedule with the exception of the Pilates Tower class (this is an equipment class).

You are not able to use the online registration tool until after you have visited the studio for the first time. At the studio we will verify your Groupon purchase and add you to the computer system. After that – you can register for your classes online.
Due to the quantity of new guests coming to the studio – we are asking you to call in advance so that we are sure to accommodate all of our clients for the first couple of weeks. Thereafter – there is no appointment necessary for classes.

Additionally, the schedule listed on your website for the 23rd Street location says “June 2009” at the bottom. Could you please let us know whether the November schedule will be the same?

Can the 10 classes be split with a friend?

Yes – you can take any mat class. The promotion expires 5 months from today’s date. Unfortunately, the 10 classes cannot be split with a friend.

Can you split the 10 classes between the 2 locations?

Hi Liza, You have until April to use this(see fine print) but must redeem all 10 classes within 5 weeks.
Jaime- The classes can not be split with a friend, this is one Groupon per person. What a great reason to work out with your friends though!

Hi. With over 750 buyers so far, how do you plan on accomodating the huge influx of new attendees, most of whom will be there during the peak hours of 5-8pm? Will new classes be added? My concern is that I will never be able to get into a class within the next few months because the mat classes will be inundated.

You can take any mat class on the schedule – Intro to Mat, Open Mat, or Pilates Express class. The website has been updated with our most current schedule.

Your package can be redeemed at any studio. Once you are in the computer system – you can choose to take your class at one or both studios. All of our studios have mats.

I really want to sign up, but I too am concerned about availability with SO many new people signing up. It seems that it would be impossible to get into an evening class in the next 5 weeks….

This is first come first served as far as reservations go. There will definitely be a busy rush, however Power Pilates does have two locations!

One question has yet to be answered. Are there going to be classes added to the overwhelming response?

If you want to take a tower class can you use the groupon to pay for part of it and pay cash for the rest.

We just found out that the studio for the 49 W 23rd St. is actually on Floor 2 (not 10 like we listed). We have updated the Groupons as well as the site to reflect this. So if you print it out again, it will have the correct floor printed on it. So don’t forget to go to floor 2 when you go to class at the 49 W 23rd St location!

I misread and bought 2..didn’t see that the multiple pertain to gift purchases. Does this mean when my 10 classes are done, I will not be able to use my other one?

Do we have to start using this Groupon (i.e. start taking the first however-many of the 10 classes) by 4/4, or finish all 10 classes by 4/4?

Referring to what Rose M. was asking – is the expiration referring to the day the groupon must be redeemed or the day the classes must be redeemed? Also, to those who’ve redeemed it already, what was the experience like? Thanks.

The expiration date for this Groupon is coming up in a couple weeks. FYI – I talked to the studio and they clarified that you don’t have to complete all 10 classes by April 4th; you just need to start them before that date and then you’ll have 5 weeks from then to finish up.

I went to the studio today (April 4th) to redeem my Groupon, but the studio was closed!

I had the same issue as Karen! The groupon should have said you had until April 3rd to use it if they weren’t going to be open on April 4th. Very frustrating.
