On Friday, December 7, The Hoya, Prevent Blindness Light the Night for Sight 2012 5K illuminates SeaWorld San Antonio with holiday lights. Walkers begin at 7 p.m., and runners take their marks at 7:45 p.m., dashing toward the finish line to claim victory and take home prizes for each age group. Visitors are also privy to a dinner buffet at Ports of Call beginning at 8 p.m. and a private sea-lion show produced by SeaWorld at 9 p.m. See a detailed race schedule here.

Prevent Blindness Texas

For more than 55 years, the mission of non-profit Prevent Blindness Texas has been to prevent blindness, preserve sight, and improve vision for Texans. Through thousands of vision screenings each year, the staff helps clients of all ages, such as children at risk of lazy eyes or adults at risk for glaucoma. They also strive to educate the public through media campaigns, public service announcements, and special events.
