While an undergraduate at John Carroll University, Michael Karl began developing a unique understanding of how the human body works. As a biology major, he was learning the scientific explanations for why the body does what it does; as a football player and track and field performer, he was experiencing firsthand the physical effects of the body at work. Over time he sustained several sports-related injuries, and found relief only through chiropractic treatment. He then became increasingly interested in how chiropractors could help return the body to optimal performance levels.

Unsurprisingly, Michael became a chiropractic doctor and now helms a private practice at Pure Motion Chiropractic. One of his specialties is, of course, treating sports injuries, though he also works with chronic conditions such as arthritis, migraines, and osteoporosis. His wellness plans are holistic in nature, as he often makes recommendations for at-home stretches, exercise, and nutrition plans, and also keeps a licensed massage therapist and acupuncturist on staff.
