  • $15 for a Quilting 101 class (a $30 value)

Each three-hour class teaches the basics of quilting or sewing to those hoping to take up the craft.

Sewing 101 students learn the basics of piping, ruffles, pant hems, zippers, buttons, and button holes, and use a sewing machine. Students receive a zipper, a half-yard of fabric, cording, and a button, and have to bring from home or purchase fabric marking pins, a seam ripper, and thread.

Quilting 101 students will create 1 quilt block during the class, using two half-yards of fabric, a sewing machine, and quilting supplies such as rulers, a cutting mat, and a rotary cutter. Students have to bring from home or purchase fabric marking pins, a seam ripper, and thread.

The schedule of classes is flexible and can include weekdays, weeknight, and weekend times; stop by Quilter's Stash to choose a date and time, or for help purchasing the supplies needed for classes.
