Hi Shelley thanks for asking. There is no additional fee for higher prescriptions but some people with really strong prescriptions may not be good candidates for LASIK. If in doubt feel free to call and we can see if yours is in the ballpark. Of course we won't be able to tell for sure until we examine you.

I have both far sighted and near sighted. Can you do mono vision and how do you check for this before surgery?????

Hi Connie. Mono vision is an excellent option for some patients. We like to show patients what it would be like either through contact lenses or temporary in office glasses. This is after your prescription has been determined.

What is "Custom" Lasik? I have astigmatism and nearsightedness. Will it work for this? Thanks.

Hi Bruce. Custom LASIK is the high definition version of standard LASIK. It's a very individualized way of doing the procedure. It helps to significantly reduce the night time side effects like glare and haloes and can improve day time vision over glasses and contacts. Astigmatism and nearsightedness can be treated with custom and conventional technologies.
