I'm really trying to figure out how this is a deal considering advanced tickets are $5 per person. Just how large and valuable a bag of popcorn is this? How does the math add up to a $32 value?

Jay - Great question! For a lot of advanced tickets there is a discount. However, for special showings and productions like 'Ready, Set, Bag' there is no discount applied. If you take a look at the links below, it comes directly from their calendar of events on the site. You can also see on the bottom of the main web-page that they do have restrictions when it comes to the $5 advanced tickets. http://www.central-cinema.com/ http://www.central-cinema.com/calendar.htm https://www.google.com/calendar/event?eid=cnZpbGc4azl2dHFmbml2NTk3bXNuMHQxMWtfMjAxMDA4MDhUMDEwMDAwWiBsbjdqOWtoam1qaWo2dWh1N2dpcXVucXZ0OEBn&ctz=America/Los_Angeles Hope this helps and enjoy! -Patrick Groupon Staff

yeah, it's not the best deal, but compared to going to a big commercial theater it's a deal. This place ROCKS! Maybe they'll throw in a free beer or something....hint hint ;)

for $16, you get two tickets ($9 each) to the film Ready, Set, Bag!, a documentary that follows the quest of eight hopefuls competing to win the title of Best Grocery Bagger in the United States (click here to view the trailer). Today's deal also includes a large popcorn ($3), $1 donation to Food Lifeline, and a reusable shopping bag ($10.50 including shipping cost, giving the deal a $32.50 total value).

Thanks Lori! Just to clarify: The standard price for this production is $9 and you aren't able to purchase it in advance for $5. Thanks again, -Patrick

Thanks Patrick. So I am still unsure about the math. What adds up to $32.50? The Ready Set Bag is $9 a ticket, right? Where does the other $14.50 of value come in? Honestly, reusable grocery bags are usually 1 or 2 bucks. What am I missing?

Jay - The reusable grocery bag information is here: http://www.readysetbag.com/store.html It is $8 and after shipping and tax you get $10.50 for the total value. It will say that right on the feature page! :) -Patrick Groupon Staff

OK, thanks Lori ... though $10.50 in shipping costs (for the bag)? Honestly, this reminds me of government spending. If you are spending $10.50 per person for shipping, it would have been better to donate the $10.50 to Food Lifeline ... in my opinion.

Jay - It is $2.50 in shipping costs for the bag only. $8 is the actual price of the bag. -Patrick

Central Cinema does donate a portion to charity and the place is cool as hell. They are super friendly and food is awesome. It's a deal no matter what.

Thanks Patrick again for the further clarification. I think it seems too much for a bag and shipping. I would rather donate the $ to Food Lifeline.

As I see it for this groupon, in essence you are paying for two tickets and everything else is bonus. I am glad they are donating to Food Lifeline, but I agree the price of the reusable bag (and I already have way too many) is high. Nonetheless, Central Cinema rocks!!

Hello everyone. I'm Oren, the Executive Producer of the film. There have been a few questions about the value of the bag so I thought I'd jump in here. Ecobags.com worked really hard with us to keep the price to a minimum. And while we could have chosen to offer some trade-show-like low-end piece of schwag, instead we chose to source a 100% recycled cotton, responsibly produced, FairWage and FairLabor product. With a killer design on it. You can get a closer look at the pretty awesome design by following this link. http://bit.ly/atvRGS

This is a great deal because of the movie! I am from Los Angeles and my wife and I are visiting her family in Seattle this week. I am a Groupon addict (I check like 10 cities a day on my iPhone app), so I'm probably a bit unlike most..... My eyes went wide when I saw today's Seattle groupon because I actually SAW this movie in Los Angeles when it was screened at a film festival there. This was a VERY enjoyable, VERY fun movie! The characters are all terrific and interesting. They are passionate about their craft and their sport, and it is truly a blast to watch them as they train and compete. The entire "bagging" world is one that was completely foreign to me, and it was a blast to be a voyeur into middle-America. This is a family-friendly, kid-friendly movie that was a blast to watch. Now that I see the groupon and am reminiscing about our experience watching it, I'm wanting to go out and find the DVD. ENJOY THE FILM! IT'S TOTALLY WORTH THE $8, even without the popcorn and the bag.

I have seen this movie, and love it. I just bought my tickets to see it again in Seattle. I've been telling people it's "Breaking Away" meets "Napoleon Dynamite." How many movies have a roll of lifesavers as the antagonist? Central Cinema is a very cool location too...
