Choose from Three Options

  • $60 for one year of unlimited Golden Gate Bay and Bridge 2 Bridge cruises for one (a $128 value)
  • $99 for one year of unlimited cruises for two (a $256 value)
  • $189 for one year of unlimited cruises for four (a $512 value)

Following a more than 70-year-old tradition, the Golden Gate Bay cruise sails west toward the city's famous bridge, passing historic sties such as Fort Mason, the Presidio, and the town of Sausalito. Passengers have often spotted a menagerie of marine creatures such as sea lions, pelicans, and harbor porpoises during their voyages.

Alternatively, the Bridge 2 Bridge cruise charts a course underneath the Golden Gate and San Francisco–Oakland Bay bridges. As the ship passes waterfront landmarks such as Alcatraz, Coit Tower, and the Palace of Fine Arts, an audio guide divulges local natural history and the unique ways in which architects deal with the city's legendary seismic activity, such as building antigravity chambers.

On both tours, an audio device equipped with 12 language choices and headphones unveils historic details about many of the sites.

Red and White Fleet

Red and White Fleet’s inaugural launch in 1892 came courtesy of founder Thomas Crowley, a 17-year-old seafarer whose vision has since spawned one of the Bay Area’s most sought-after guided sightsees. The placid shores of Fisherman’s Wharf host a bobbing quartet of wave-riding vessels, each crewed by a savvy staff of sailors versed in the Bay’s stunning maritime marvels, including rock seals, easily recognized by their Dee Snider wigs and Flying V guitars.

Other tours with Red and White Fleet include the Bridge 2 Bridge Cruise, which sails beneath the Golden Gate and San Francisco-Oakland Bay bridges, its iconic red-and-white boats dwarfed by the imposing structures. Passengers can venture onto the open-air deck to take in unobstructed views of the skyline, or gaze through large windows within indoor cabins furnished with plush seating and a full-service bar. “The tour was just the right length, going under the Golden Gate Bridge was really great, and going around the back side of Alcatraz was an opportunity to see the other side that one sees when taking the Alcatraz tour. The boats have a nice mixture of indoor and outdoor seating.”
