Urban Warrior Dash

Urban Warrior Dash, the latest incarnation of the more rustic Warrior Dash, challenges entrants to navigate 14 extreme obstacles along a 5-mile course through the city. Though they certainly challenge participants' strength and agility, the obstacles primarily test boldness. Runners climb inverted slopes, slither under barbed wire and chain-linked fences, and dash up and down the bleachers inside Soldier Field in a feat titled the Quad Killer. Staffers work to keep racers safe, and enthused crews pass out T-shirts and medals to finishers, who must then navigate a raucous party complete with DJ-helmed tunes and beer for racers of age. Like the idea of having a pet rock, the adrenaline-pumping race has grown more popular annually, with its parent race, the Warrior Dash, currently traveling across the United States, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Red Frog Events, the organizers of Urban Warrior Dash and Warrior Dash, encourage participants to raise funds for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by registering as a St. Jude Warrior and fundraising. Racers who raise the suggested $300 will be eligible for special race-day perks, such as free food and drinks, private bathrooms, and a private bag check.
