I guess they didn’t want one person coming in every night with the deal. understandable. if you buy a few and typically go with a couple people, you go once and use “yours”; your friend goes once with you and uses “theirs.”

Just wanted to clear a few things up. This many NOT be used for delivery. The voucher may not be combined with any other offers, so it may NOT be used for the 1/2 priced appetizers.
Jordan you are in luck. Yes, this may be used at the bar.

Hello All,
I need to make a quick retraction about the voucher being used strictly for alcohol at the bar or in the restaurant. Vouchers may be used at the bar or restaurant for the total bill, which would require a food order. The state of Massachusetts has a very strict policy on discounting liquor. The minimum food order needs to be at least $15 to use this voucher so they are not discounting alcoholic beverages. So to clarify the bar question specifically, one voucher may be used at the bar for every (2) patrons as long as you are spending at least $15 on food.

I tried to buy four and I am also getting the “still being processed” message. I am actually giving them all to people as gifts, but didn’t want to e-mail them to them right now, so I didn’t do the gift button. Will my purchase still go through?

Groupon usually delivers the certificate about a day after the deal is closed.

It’s been 24 hours since I purchased my groupon, and it’s still being "processed"—what’s up with that?
I bought 2 groupons to use as presents. I didn’t click give as a gift because I wanted to be able to give them later this month in person so I just bought them normally. Does this mean the groupons will have my name on them? Will someone other than me be able to use them?

I bought one of these yesterday and then realized this morning that if I want to give it as a gift there is a gift option. So I edited it with my brother’s name and changed it. When it no longer showed in the “My Groupons” list, I thought I must have deleted it by mistake so I started from scratch and reordered. At the end of the process the “My Gifts” list popped up with two gift Groupons for the same person. Why didn’t this list pop up the first time? I haven’t used the gift option before and did not know to click on “My Gifts”. And why is there no edit or cancel option on gifts??? I only wanted one.
HI, it’s Saturday 11am and my purchase from yesterday 10pm is still “being processed” plus a gift purchase I tried to make yesterday apparently didn’t go through at all – and it wouldn’t even let me make 2 gift purchases. I am noticing that this is a multiple day deal, as well, so even though I sent the link to several friends (to get the referral bonus) I am becoming concerned since there is clearly a problem. I really have no idea of my status at this point, or how many of my purchases it accepted….I am very surprised that someone from Groupon has not posted an update or stopped the deal for today if the problem is too many deals! I just got an email back (finally) from the support email address saying they are taking longer than usual to verify our credit cards. I ordered my two yesterday and it is still being processed. They said to keep an eye out for my printable certificate sometime later today. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed and hope, I guess, since I need them for today to give as gifts.

oh no, groupon is becoming popular and there is a (less than one) day old snag! At worst, some people could have a hold on $60 (and that’s only if you purchased 4 groupons, and that’s only if groupon charges your card while it’s still processing, which I doubt). And uh oh, we are only getting personalized help from a groupon employee within hours of posting a question. How dare he not be answering our questions 24/7 on a Saturday! Everyone panic! The system is going down!!!
I agree Grace. Even though slower than usual, the site clearly mentions the day wait for your groupon to be ready.

ugh- still ‘pricessing’ its been more than 24 hours… Im not happy with this- usually Groupon is right on the ball…. bummer- hopefully this might help to ensure future big great deals dont get slowed down(that they learn from the delay somehow on how to avoid in the future?)

Redbones has a small bar area that is separate from the two dining areas (one upstairs, one downstairs). However, the tables are very close together, and the restaurant can be very noisy because of the space. Personally, I wouldn’t describe Redbones as “kid friendly”, it’s more just neutral.
@Everyone concerned about the delay in processing:
On the one hand, I understand that people want to be sure that their purchases are going through. On the other hand, this Groupon expires a whole year from now! You’ll have plenty of time to use it. Why all the hue and cry to get it in your hands right away?
For everyone who’s concerned about your groupon still being processed: relax. Weekend groupon deals tend to be open sometimes for both Saturday and Sunday, and you only receive a confirmation email once the deal is closed— Which is what has happened for me in the past. You should get an email sometime late on Sunday night, depending on how much time is left on the deal page.
Maybe we should all have a groupon redbones party :D 6,000 odd groupons bought! Whew. That has to be some kind of record :)

Glad to hear its just over-popular! Sad that several friends can’t seem to get through on this deal (OK, Ill be honest…sad that this is the one deal that would likely send several referral credits my way, if only my friends could get through!) . I had no idea this is making mainstream news – I am not a new user. The site clearly says (at least, it seems clear to me) that you get an email once the deal tips, and that has always been the case for the other deals I’ve purchased….so this “wait until the weekend is over” isn’t clearly stated anywhere I’ve seen.
My God, at 6,600 and counting…that’s an average of 18 groupons being redeemed a day for the next 365 days. I wonder if the owner is flipping out, or is overjoyed.
Kid friendly. Yes and no. it is not fancy, and you definitely won’t feel bad if you drop some food on the floor. The menu has some kid friendly stuff—esp if your crew love barbecue. The part that is not kid friendly is that there is often a crowd, a wait, and a “din” there. not that you want to eat with kids in a quiet restaurant, but I can see going home with some overstimulated kids. But, if you go early—5/6 o-clock—you should be fine—especially on a weekday!

Aside from the part where I had to check if it looked plausible since I didn’t request a “the point” account and I don’t tend to click arbitrary links in my inbox… – do I need to activate a “the point” account to use groupon and purchase the deal? Because if so, it doesn’t actually seem like I can activate it. but I am logged into groupon to post this right now.

I know the reason I was trying to jump in on the ‘why isnt my Groupon ready’ was because I wanted to use the groupon this weekend.
Oh well- my next groupon purchase Ill make sure to account for using it at least a week later! Time will tell – and yeah- the place is yummy- if you can- sit at the counter near the pit- they sometime give you free munchies…
OK, now I’m confused. I ordered two Groupons, one for me and one for someone else. I don’t know exactly who will get the other one, so I didn’t get it as a gift since you have to specify a recipient. So now I have two Groupons with my name on them. Can one of them be used by someone else?

I have also several other groupons that I had purchased in the past that have not been used that were intended as gifts. How do I correct these?

Thanks for your patience. The collection transaction queuing was backed up from Friday’s volume. We were caught up on Saturday night, and yesterday we handled the new load and all transactions for the day were processing at a normal rate.

yeah, mine says still processing and the money has been taken out of the account. i sent an email to their customer service, and got a reply saying they were being inundated with service queries and to be patient. thinking of trying to call today. i want my redbones!

I am glad I looked here becasue now I see that I am not the only one with this issue. My concern is, my groupon account has no record of the purchase. It appears everyone else can see that its is still processing. However, the money has been withdrawn from my account. No hurry for the groupon but I am a little concerned.
Mine also – I have sent a number of emails and they keep saying they are very busy. How long does it usually take? The money has also been taken out for me too.

I just received my email confirmation for the two groupons that I bought today but now they have expired. Can anyone help me either re-activate them or get reimbursed? I am very disappointed.

All sorts of problems associated with this offer — I finally got my orders processed, but now my credit card has been overcharged by $30! Groupon said that “the system” shows the correct information, but the online credit card system (the one I care about!) shows an extra $30 charge. So check and make sure that you are being charged correctly.
also charged for it on 12/4 but no confirmation email to print out. wanted to go tonight and realized this groupon hasn’t “materialized.” who can help?

I had to update some credit card information. It still says “still processing” AND I am still getting emails about a “failed credit card transaction.” …Oddly enough, I’ve been able to purchase and validate groupons after that date.

Well, after much chaos, we actually made it over to Redbones tonight. We were sadly too late for the main menu, but their bar menu was decent and everyone found something they liked. Their buffalo wings were great and the philly sub I had was even better.
Hopefully we’ll manage to get there earlier next time.

Was the “no takeout” on the fine print when the deal was originally posted? I bought it specifically for takeout purposes and recall carefully reviewing everything before purchasing and not seeing that in the fine print.
No, it wasn’t Jodie — pretty annoying for them to change the terms after the fact. I guess the “solution” is to print your Groupons IMMEDIATELY before they get the chance to mess with things. It might not be accepted but at least you’d have some evidence to back up your argument.
I’d say this offer was pretty much a disaster, with all the problems people had with it.
