Dr. Cynthia M. Lopez began her medical career in the Philippines, returning to her hometown after medical school to provide health care to families who could not otherwise afford it. She had a negative experience with a Fresno plastic surgeon in 2007 which drove her into studying cosmetic surgery.

In her own words:

My 25th-year medical school reunion was coming up in 6 months. Barely discussing my needs, the plastic surgeon recommended surgical facelift in less than 10 minutes. I was appalled. I knew I needed something, but facelift? I felt terribly bad that at 51, the plastic surgeon thought I can only be saved by a facelift. I thought facelift was reserved for the very old, like 70 years old. This experience propelled me to learn cosmetic surgery, hopping from one hands-on training to another, from within the United States and other countries.

Since that time, Dr. Lopez has become an expert laser cosmetic surgeon, helping enhance the beauty of her clients within a practice designed to evoke the calm and relaxation of Mariveles, her archipelago hometown. Dr. Lopez and her staff aim to demystify the advanced techniques they deploy in pursuit of increasing each patient's confidence, walking them through the steps of liposuction, skin treatments, cosmetic injections, and how exactly they manage to steal and replace the noses of children.
