Houston World Series of Dog Shows
Although the dogs in it never play baseball, the Houston World Series of Dog Shows is aptly named. Rather than a single dog show, it's a cluster of several, spread out over five summer days. The show features Best of Breed contests, and the top dog wins Best in Show. It also entertains with a dog sled pull, agility contest, and a canine musical freestyle—in which dogs dance with their costumed owners, rather than just howling into trumpets. During a Meet the Breed seminar, experts educate the public on the pros, cons, and peculiarities of more than 80 breeds.

“It was a great event to get my husband and daughter out of the house on a Saturday afternoon and as dog owners and dog lovers we thoroughly enjoyed the shows like "Meet the Breeds" and the different agility shows - racing, Frisbee, dancing, etc. Also, it was great to see all the rescue organizations out there educating people on the ability to adopt their desired breed as a rescue and not have to go to a breeder.”
“Really enjoyed it...must see... great an experience”
“Wear comfortable shoes and get ready to enjoy! It was great that we were allowed to have our pets accompany us! ”
