Questions and Answers

Both my mother and my grandmother have serious spider veins. I am 29 years old, but already I see small clusters of visable veins on my left thigh and I am concerned this will get worse as I age. Would this treatment be right for this? Would I benefit from a consulation? Thanks.

Absolutely come and see us for a consultation, there is no charge. Please call for an appointment at 203.405.6220. As a matter of fact we recently did mother daughter VeinErase treatments.

What is the post treatment protocol (on legs)? Other methods of vein treatment on legs require compression socks for several weeks after treatment; normally after use of lasers on the skin it is recommended that there be no sun exposure for so many weeks post treatment. I am trying to figure out if this would be best done after the summer sun & shorts season..... Thanks!

Joan T.

The only after care is to apply triple antibiotic ointment. You do not have to wear compression garments and you do not have to avoid exercise or sun. And by the way, this is not a laser treatment. For the pictures that are posted...how many treatments were done for it to look like that? I have them mostly on my legs, and they are just starting to show. My mother has never had a treatment, and has very visible ones. Will this prevent them from coming back at a later age?

Nicole asked 10 months, 8 days, 10 hours, and 1 minute ago - 1 answer

Joan T.

For leg treatments the number of sessions ranges from 1 to 5. We have never experienced 5, generally we see results in 1 to 2 treatments for the legs, with 3 treatments for a larger vein. Each person's legs react differently, so we are hesitant to promise results. We do strive to make all of our clients happy with their results without bankrupting their pocket book. As for future occurrences, these treatments only address what is currently showing and do so permanently. If you are unsure, please call for a complimentary consultation prior to the Group On expiring on Friday and we may be better prepared to give you an estimate.

My spider veins are blue/black, mostly on my feet and ankles. Will these treatments be able to erase these veins?

Carolyn F. asked 10 months, 8 days, 12 hours, and 24 minutes ago - 1 answer

Joan T.

We would always prefer to see you in person, but the clusters of blue/black veins that we have seen in the feet and ankle areas are actually vericosities. These are extreme pressure veins, and are too large so they will not respond to treatment. If they are not raised, give us a call and we can see you for a consult before the Group On offer ends. Sorry.
