Questions and Answers

What is the cost to do the entire décolletage area?

debbie b. asked 1 year, 4 months, 8 days, 1 hour, and 21 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hstafford

The décolletage area is not an area that is included in this Groupon. Please call us at 650-212-7662 and ask to speak to Ruby....she will be able to help with additional areas and pricing.

Can you do the ultherapy if you've had any fillers in the face. If not, how long should you wait from the date of your fillers before doing it. I guess you could still do the -around the eye package, correct?

Jerry C. asked 1 year, 4 months, 8 days, 14 hours, and 3 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hstafford

Jerry, thanks for asking...yes. Actually, I've personally had fillers and done Ulthera. During the consultation they will discuss the best timing....as they can be done fairly close together.

is there a groupon special just for the cosmopolitan peel?

Kathy A. asked 1 year, 4 months, 9 days, 22 hours, and 2 seconds ago - 1 answer

Hstafford

We love Groupon and the deals that they allow us to bring to the Bay! But no, to date we have not been able to offer just the Chemical Peel.

What is the typical or median age of people who actually receive this procedure? Also, assuming average or typical results, what is the percentage of people who return to have the procedure done again and the timeframe between procedures? I realize we all age but those people I know who have had traditional surgical face lifts typically don't need or desire one again for a few years. I just want to have an accurate and clear expectation from this procedure - it is very positive that it is not invasive, but if I need to spend another big chunk of change in a year, I'd like to be able to expect and plan for it! Thanks!

Your absolutely correct that this not a substitute for surgery; however, if you are looking for a non-surgical option, Ulthera has been held in high regards by patients. Check out the satisfaction rate on RealSelf.com. You can copy and paste this link: http://www.realself.com/ultherapy/reviews Clearly surgery is the “gold standard” in neck, face, and brow lifting....we also offer minimally invasive surgical options that may be of interest. I would recommend purchasing a Groupon and discussing exactly what you are looking to address (and what you are comfortable with) during the consultation with the Physician.

How many treatments do I need ?

Liz k. asked 1 year, 4 months, 10 days, 9 hours, and 54 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hstafford

One. To uphold a youthful appearance, the manufacturer recommends an annual maintenance treatment.

How long will I stay in shape?

Era L. asked 1 year, 4 months, 10 days, 23 hours, and 23 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hstafford

The technology is fairly young...so no one knows for sure exactly how long the results will last. However, given the documented collagen growth by histologic tissue studies, the results should be long lasting. Certainly, the aging process cannot be stopped....for maintenance, the makers of Ulthera recommend annual treatment.

I purchased the neck lift. I might purchase the entire package if an physicain looked at me and determined that it woud be helpful. What should I do. ? can not get through on your phones. No doubt because of the Groupon. If possible, I would like to come in on Friday 13 while I can still edit the groupon. Thanks Marcine Blough

Is this work on any color of skin ?

Liz k. asked 1 year, 4 months, 10 days, 11 hours, and 25 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hstafford

Yes, Ulthera can be used to treat all skin types. If you have any specific concerns, please ask our staff during the consultation. Also, many of us (including myself) have had the treatment done...during the consultation we will be happy to share our experiences as well. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Hstafford answered 1 year, 4 months, 10 days, and 5 minutes ago

as described above -- sounds much like the thermoge treatments that also work under the skin with heat and take several months for full effects to tighten the skin.... are you familiar with that treatment and how do these 2 differ??? thanks!

joan m. asked 1 year, 4 months, 10 days, 21 hours, and 29 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hstafford

Please see the blurb below on the technical differences. Also, you may want to check out the testimonials on www.realself.com. Patients rank Ultherapy with an 85% satisfaction rating, while Thermage sits at 39%. Both Thermage radio frequency and Ultherapy ultrasound facelifts work by heating the dermal layers to induce TIZs (Thermal Injury Zones). This spurs the body to lay down new collagen over the next several months. However Ultherapy has important advantages over Thermage: - Ultherapy uses ultrasound imaging to precisely locate and target the layer of tissue needing tightening and lifting. The provider can actually see on screen what s/he is doing. This allows for higher precision. - Ultherapy can penetrate about 50% deeper than Thermage – as far as the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System) which is the tissue that is tightened during a surgical facelift. - Thermage patients often require multiple treatments in a row, whereas Ultherapy is typically recommended once followed by optional maintenance every year or two. Great questions....keep them coming!
