Ripley's Believe It or Not!
Double takes begin before visitors even step foot inside the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium. Chrome-plated dinosaur statues tower over the parking lot, standing in stark contrast to the slender minarets and gold-tipped dome of the actual museum, which takes architecture cues from the Taj Mahal. These prehistoric watchdogs are only the first glimpse into the bizarre, as the Odditorium's 11 galleries brim with jaw-dropping exhibits, interactive displays, and brow-furrowing illusions.
Inspired by the eclectic collection of cartoonist, world traveler, and renowned eccentric Robert Ripley, the museum's galleries are an ode to the unusual. Artifacts hail from across the globe and include everything from a mechanized rocking chair to an invisible penny. Beyond the Odditorium's galleries, the museum also encompasses Louis Tussaud’s Palace of Wax and its more than 200 life-like wax figurines of U.S. Presidents, movie stars, and famous characters. Two additional attractions include the LED-lit Enchanted Mirror Maze and the Impossible LaseRace, which challenges visitors to edge across a hallway in record time without tripping a web-like network of green lasers.
