Even though it'd be nice to find a man who is willing to push you around in a stroller for little to no money, you can get around a city simply by walking. Get out there with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $19 for a walking tour for one (a $40 value)
  • $36 for a walking tour for two (an $80 value)
  • $69 for a walking tour for four (a $140 value)

Groups are led by a local resident-turned-tour-guide on 4-mile explorations of the city’s famous sights and hidden gems. They may traverse hidden garden staircases as they descend from Telegraph Hill to the Old Waterfront, or explore murals and Victorian architecture as they work their way through Mission Loop. As they walk, the guide also provides additional historical context and information via an interactive iPad presentation. Groupon customers can choose any one of the four tours Roam Local offers.

Roam Local

Ryan Curtis loves local history, sunshine, and exercise, and he just happened to be clever enough to combine all three into a career. As the owner of Roam Local, he offers—and leads—private and semiprivate walking tours that explore the hidden stairways, alleyways, and gardens of San Francisco. As groups walk, hidden terraces with stunning views as well as famous sights come into view, usually from unexpected angles. That perspective often creates stunning photo opportunities that can’t be found on postcards, such as the Golden Gate Bridge before it’s infused with its morning coffee. As your guide walks and talks, they supplement their information with an interactive iPad presentation and San Francisco’s other standout: its balmy weather.
