The Saturday morning class, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., covers topics ranging from how to safely handle, store, and fire a pistol to firearms laws in Michigan and other states. Each session incorporates hands-on shooting-range practice, lecture and classroom exercises, and a written test. This deal value does not include a mandatory $19 range fee or the $10 ammo fee, which applies only to those who do not provide their own ammunition. Rochester Tactical

During Rochester Tactical’s signature eight-hour classes, a Detroit police officer and NRA-certified firearm instructor teaches students to safely wield a pistol. While the classroom component explores the keys to safety, gun care, and local firearm laws, the instructor also leads students to a range stocked with SIRT training pistols, where they learn proper shooting techniques and stances.
