Rockin Hollywood Tours cart Tinseltown enthusiasts through star-studded territory during two-hour outings, covering dozens of illustrious sites and landmarks along the way. As the open-air vehicle chugs through Hollywood, knowledgeable guides churn out facts and historical anecdotes, and allow a backup soundtrack to chime in with details about each point of interest on the itinerary. While staying alert for any signs of escaped MGM lions, riders can enjoy the sights and sounds of celebrity-packed neighborhoods that include cribs belonging to Julia Roberts, Cher, and Ringo Starr. They can also keep their cell phones and fanny-pack video cameras peeled for glimpses of Waldo as they journey through timeless locales such as Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, and the Sunset Strip. Buses leave every 45 minutes; all-day parking is available nearby for $5–$10.

Rockin Hollywood Tours

Buses coast down sunny avenues lined with palm trees and pastel-colored buildings. Many of these buildings boast complex histories—as music venues, film studios, boarding schools for stuntmen, and more—that synced audio tracks and charming tour guides divulge during Rockin Hollywood Tours' interactive excursions. On each tour, groups pass more than 70 sites around the streets of Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and West Hollywood. Guides expound on well-known landmarks such as the Hollywood sign, the Jim Henson Company lot (the former home of Charlie Chaplin Studios), and the Playboy Mansion. They also lead riders through musical history and Elton John's personal diaries as they pass venues including Whisky A Go Go, the Troubadour, and Capitol Records studios. Driving through residential areas, guides also point out the past and present homes of celebrities such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Eddie Murphy, and Nicolas Cage.

The Groupon Guide to: Holiday Storefront Displays

This is a time of year when storefronts everywhere come to life with magical holiday tableaus, from meticulously calibrated animatronics to hasty paintings. What traditional displays might you see this year?

  • Animatronic Rudolph with cool laser-pointer nose
  • Frankenstein still up from Halloween, now wearing Santa hat
  • Window painting of snowman family who can't believe the low, low rates on brand-name mattresses
  • Chaotic nativity scene composed from real, alive, trapped animals
  • Employee who looks exactly like Santa, except for the eye patch and persistent cough

What are the most popular holiday window displays of all time?
