Students don an apron, pallet of colors, and brush as Roey provides step-by-step painting instructions. Participants bring their own beverages and snacks, sipping and nibbling as the entire class works on the same image, and guests leave with a 16” x 20” canvas of their finished product. Roey's Paintbox Parties
Roey Ebert’s artwork has been splayed across school and store walls in the form of children’s murals as well as plastered on children’s books she’s both authored and illustrated. But where’s Roey? She can be found hosting paintbox parties, where friends explore the creative process in a supportive environment. Birthday parties, wedding showers, or hordes of creative-minded kids hunker down at Roey’s long tables to hone brushstrokes and play with color. Roey encourages students to follow their own instincts, even if means straying away from the image the group may be working on. Roey’s Paintbox Parties can also include personalized trinkets and party favors, such as mini-canvases, mini-easels, and mini-Screaming Norwegians.

“This event met and exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be fun to have a girl's night and learn to paint something for my house. It was so much fun. I had lots of support, but also felt that I could be creative and do what I wanted. I was able to bring wine and the ladies next to me brought snacks too! I am looking forward to going again some time soon!”
