And the Keratin treatment can be applied regardless of the length of the hair? All included in the $69? Hehe sorry this just seems too good to be true!

well if I decide to get the Keratin Treatment and Highlights of course it would end with a blow dry in the end all for $69 right? and what if I would want to add a haircut? by the way the blow dry would be included w/ keratin,highlights,blowdry???

Hi @Susan: if you choose the Keratin and Highlights, the blowdry would not be included in the 69, but you can buy a second groupon and get a haircut/blowdry and mani/pedi with the second one.
@Lisa: sure, you can get more than one (up to 3). Lowlights are not included in the groupon, but you’d get everything else for the 138.
Hi, must you get both services at the same appointment? For example, could you get two Keratin treatments spaced out?
Hello! Yea this Groupon’s wording was a bit confusion! So just to clarify, If I wanted to get a Keratin treatment, and a haircut. Would I have to pay extra to have my hair blow dried, or walk out with wet hair?

Hi @Selfida – yes, you must use the groupon all at once and each is good for two different services, but you can purchase multiple for a follow up Keratin treatment.
@9aroline, the haircut and blowdry count as one treatment, so you’d get the keratin, and then also the haircut and blowdry all for the 69.

Hii @Jennifer, most clients typically experience results for at least 6 months with proper upkeep (using the maintenance shampoo and conditioner)
What is the long hair permanent wave ? Also question I have long hair (middle back) for the keratin 300 is the top price so I could still get a haircut or a wave.?……just an example. Thanks

I have done the brazillian treatment before and when you do it..they apply the product, dry your hair, apply more, iron it in and then it stays in your hair like that for days…I am confused why you said a blow dry would be extra? the procedure doesn’t require a blow dry at end? Please clarify :)

Hi @Anggela, yes, you can get the Keratin and haircut regardless of hair length. The wave is not part of the groupon offer.
Hi @ Beth, you can certainly do that. The product we use can actually be washed off and styled the same day though if you didn’t want to leave the product in your hair for several days.

Ive done keratin before and the keratin requires a blow dry and flat iron to have it set, then not wetting your hair for several days. Not sure what product they have that rinses off.. I have never heard of it. The brazilian keratin treatment includes a blowdry and flat iron… so technically it would be one service…. unless she is making us use the keratin as one service, then the blow dry and iron as another…. but the value of the keratin 150+ is one service and a blowdry/iron another $35+
I would liek to use for a keratin with the needed blow dry/iron to set the keratin (i think per the discussion she is making this count as 2) and a mani/pedi (count as one)

I know ppl have asked this question.. but I didn’t really get an answer to clarify… to do the keritain treatment… usually is followed up w/blow dry flat iron… so does this take up the TWO???? if so… I know you have to use the two at one time… can you use 2 groupons at the same appt… reason I’m asking.. get the treatment, highlights, blowdry, and a pedicure…

Hi everyone:
to clarify on the keratin. we use Inoar, which is a very good Brazilian Keratin (I just visited their manufacturing plant in Sao Paulo last month). This treatment is normally applied, and then blowdried and ironed, and left on for several days. This would all be included and count as 1 of your 2 options of your groupon, meaning you can do the keratin AND another of the options.
However, this particularly Keratin can also be washed out the same day. @Jennifer, this does not reduce how effective it is, we have had very good success actually. If you washed it out same day, you could combine the Keratin treatment and the haircut&blowdry and leave with your hair beautifully styled the same day. Otherwise, you can leave the treatment in your hair for a few days.
now to answer some of the other questions:
@Fauzia: The treatment involves putting in the product, blowdrying and flat ironing your hair. For longer hair it can take up to 2 hours. We have two locations, so we will be able to fit you in for an appointment.
@Jessica C.: Certainly you can use more than one at the same time, just book your appointment for all the services you want to have done on the same day!
@Tracy C: Highlights and cut/blowdry is just one groupon.
@Thuy: You can use the groupon for the highlights and the mani/pedi and do the lowlights in addition (without the groupon). Lowlights are not included as part of this offer.
@Geri: The products we use for the Keratin have 0.2% Formaldehyde, one of the lowest concentrations available in the market today.
@Brenda & @Eve: The blowdry and flatiron that are part of the Keratin treatment are included within the one service if you decide that you want to leave the product in for a few days, you can choose one more service with your groupon (ie. we won´t count the blowdry/flatiron for the Keratin as a second service)
@Alice: You could use one groupon and then just pay for the blowdry separately, or get the two groupons and add an additional service like a mani/pedi. We use Alfaparf colors.

Hi @Ivette: The product does not have a strong odor. You may have seen stylists use a mask when they apply it because of the “fumes” created by applying heat, but all of our salons are very well ventilated and you will not experience any of that. We use Inoar, which is a Brazilian Keratin (imported straight from SP) made from Morroccan raw materials.
@Brenda, there should be no issue with doing the Keratin after your Thermal Straightening, particularly if it has been a while, but if you are concerned about previous treatments you have done on your hair, I would recommend coming in for a free consultation, or calling our King´s Bay location (305) 256-1266 and speaking to Frank.

What effect does the Keratin treatment have on curly hair…will they become more managable, meaning I wouldn’t have to use hair products to keep them under control…or will they ‘disappear’? The process you’ve described seems to be to a curl eliminator…. thanks!
Can I buy one groupon and share it with my friend, so that we each get one service at the same time?
I have very curly hair and the brazillian does not take away all the curl if you want to go curly one day you could it wont be as curly but soft nice curls, also it does make it much easier to blow dry.

Hi @Piedad, Lisa is right – the Keratin treatment is very effective at taking away the frizz but it isn’t a relaxer and will not eliminate your curls completely.

I see you said you use Inoar which the brand means nothing to me and that the fumes are not a bother due to good ventilation. I am sure it must be a top quality product, but I have read all the Keratin treatments have large amounts of formaldahyde and even though I want the treatment I am not into heavy chemicals that are absorbed into the body. Could you please enlighten me as to any dangers/concerns? I would really appreciate it.

I went to Roho’s yesterday and had the keratin treatment and a haircut. The blow dry is part of the keratin treatment as is the flat iron. My experience was wonderful! The owner and staff are very friendly, I waited only a few mins past my appt time. I was offered refreshments. I was told I could wash out the treatment the next day but for best results, leave it in for 3 days. Since my hair is super frizzy and others who have had treatments elsewhere were told to leave it in for 4-5 days, I am choosing to leave it in for 4-5 days. As for my hair cut, I am really happy with it. I have trouble finding someone who can cut my very thick, bushy, frizzy hair and I love the job Fara did giving me long layers in the back and a long soft layers which sweep to the side of my face. I have found my new hair place! I will be bringing my daughter for her haircut. Thankfully, I bought 2 coupons and will use the other before the holidays to have another keratin treatment!

Hi @Rose, the Inoar Keratin we use has only 0.2% formaldehyde, but you are right in noting that it is the active ingredient in most brands of Keratin. With such a small percentage, it is not generally a health concern for most people, do we do advise pregnant women to wait until after they’ve given birth to have it done (we make the same suggestion about coloring their hair during pregnancy too). Like Michele mentioned above, our stylists will give you the option to rinse out the product sooner than with most other brands, limiting the amount of time you are exposed to the chemical.
Since one of the services at Roho is dying hair, could the stylist use a semipermanent dye? I am not sure if I am willing to make a comittment, but I am getting some grays.

We do have Semipermanents and color washes. When you come in for your appointment, one of our stylists can give you an overview of the options you have and what would work best to cover up your grays.
I am very excited to try! I had the treatment few times before at a different place… expensive and unpersonalized service. Yesterday I called Roho to make my appointment and Frank was so pleasant and fun to speak that I am sure I will be very happy. I’ll keep you all posted.

I just wanted to tell about my experience at Roho Beauty Salon…
I went w/the intention of having the Kertian Treatment… Color, Highlight and Pedicure.. which they said you can do all in one apt!
However, I, it was MY fault was late! (it took me over an hour to get there from Boca)
Anyway, weather I was late or not, There would have NEVER been time to do ALL services at once..
If you have Long thick curly hair, it’s about 3 hrs for the treatment, and I got there @ 10:45 and was done @ almost 2:30.
The pros, (again just MY opinion, since I’m going on MY experiance)
1, VERY VERY FRIENDLY STAFF~~~
William, (think was his name couldn’t understand to well… you’ll see in cons) was VERY SWEET and VERY courteous!!!
VERY Professional, and knew what he was doing!!!
2-Frank, the owner, was there anytime I needed something… he was very pleased to have me as a customer!!! (and pretty excited about the success of the sale from Groupon)
He borrowed my computer to see it all!!!
3-Anitia did a pedicure for me.. which I paid in cash.. didn’t want to waste a Groupon for the one.. it was.. $23.00
4-When I tipped Will, he was VERY appreciative!! Make sure you tip him on the time spent w/you.. not what you paid for the Groupon… I’m not sure how they are getting paid on this deal, but can’t imagine it’s a lot!
5-you can use your laptop w/wifi….
CONS-
1-LANGUAGE BARRIER!!! The ONLY person in there that spoke English was the owner, Frank. There was no communication w/William, that’s what I THINK his name was.. didn’t really understand… Not one word was spoken w/Anita while doing my Pedicure!
2-I had to go next door to buy something at the bagel place, (not so much a con more a heads up) purchase some food and get the password for the internet…
So while was getting my hair done, I played on my laptop… Frank, the owner, borrowed my computer to find out how successful the Groupon went and to read the “discussion” FIRST TIME HE HAD SEEN IT!!!
3- I really wanted my highlights more caramel color.. I actually came home and had to get hair color just to darken them.. they were WAY to BLONDE for me!! I told Frank, when I got there the color I wanted… but, again, Language barrier prevented to EXACTLY get what I wanted understood!
4- They just need to check w/the customer first what they’re looking for, the type of hair, etc… before making the apts… There was a customer booked after I was supposed to be done, again YES my fault I was late, but even if I were on time….. NO WAY!! and she was even late by 15 minutes!!! So make sure you let them know all this information when booking.
The last thing I’d say, is that when they find out you have the Groupon, from the body language, and the response… they don’t, the staff, seem to happy about it! BUT DO SUCK IT UP AND DO THE JOB!
OVER ALL, I’d say it was 8 out of 10!!
The staff makes you, as much as they can, feel welcomed in there and GREATLY APPRECIATIVE
The hair color came out GREAT!! I just wished the Highlights came out more to the way I wanted!!! But they are very even through out the hair.. and done it a great way!!!

Oh yeah, one more thing… Since I paid for my pedi.. I asked, of course, how much it was… Frank told me $20.00… I was charged $23.00.. I of course paid it.. considering.. but was annoyed I was not told the right price up front!
Here is my report… the staff is very nice and friendly. Jacqueline did my hair and I am loving it then Alina did my pedi as part of the package. I paid for my nails refil and wax. I am definitely coming back. I would have to say that I was very impressed the way the owner interat with the staff… it was like a family, she was so pleasant that it shows why
Frank (the son) is super nice and polite and the staff is happy to be there. Overall good job!
This turned out out to be a rip off. I went last night to get Mani/Pedi and Cut/blowdry, as stated above should have been two services and included on one Groupon. Instead they made me pay an extra $30.00 for the blowdry and said it was not included. So a total of $99.00 paid for a cut/dry and mani/pedi! Not a deal! Is there anyway I can get a refund for the other two I bought?

It is not part of the rules that this groupon is only valid monday thru wednesday. I would have never bought it if it was. I live in Brickell and am unable to make it during your hours of operation on those days.

Just thought I’d add my two cents in today. I talked to Frank this morning (I left a msg, he didn’t call me back – it was my 2nd try) and he was quite abrupt and not at all friendly – that is, once he found out I had a Groupon. Besides the Mon-Wed rule, he told me he was completely booked till the end of July and I’d have to call back then to get an appointment. Of course that didn’t work for me, because I wanted to get something done before my birthday next week. I totally understand they may be booked, but July? I even tried to see things from his point of view – that he wants to save room for full-paying customers – but honestly he should have been prepared for a huge response. It’s not fair to make Groupon customers feel like second-class citizens. When I called again this afternoon I got the impression that they did have appts open – but again, not for Groupon people. I also found out that each stylist has been limited to doing ONE brazilian keratin a week. That’s one reason for the logjam. I’m not even sure I want to go there, not after reading the yelp reviews on Jorge. I really did want the keratin but it may not be worth the risk. I personally think we should all call Groupon and request refunds. I was told by Groupon today that it wouldn’t be a problem given the deceptive advertising and after-the-fact changes. Maybe if enough of us did it, it would actually make an impact. Thanks for reading! Good luck!

I was treated exactly the same way when I called for an appt. I wanted a summer haircut, not the end of summer. So I called Groupon today. they said they would refund my $ in Groupon credit. I bought 3 of these to share with myself and my daughter. I dont want over $200 in Groupn credit. I want a credit on my credit card. We should all call tomorrow and demand it. I know I am and I hesitate to buy any further from this company. I feel Groupon should be responsible to make sure the businesses they put online are capable to accommodate their customers or have a cut off at a reasonable number.

This place is a complete rip off!!!! I called today for an appointment. First I was told I could get appointment right away, then I was asked if I had a Groupon. When I said yes I was told that there were no appointments until the end of July. Then when I said to give me at date after the end of July I was told that they were not given out appointments and to call back. I then asked for a refund and was told that I need to deal with Groupon and that they are the ones I have the problem with! I am not sure if I am ever going to get to use this!!! This was a complete scam from a second-rate salon!

I appreciate that Groupon is allowing refunds, but can’t something be done about Roho Salon’s response to Groupon holders? It is unbelievable that they would revise the rules of the groupon afterwards. It looks like they didn’t anticipate the business demand, and got caught with their pants down. They made a mistake, and they should learn from it, but they should still owner the promise to the customer. Learn to manage your business. I want my groupon honored and I want an appointment this month.

Yeah I tried, at first she almost made an appointment for me, but then when I said I had a groupon she said to contact groupon that they were going to give me my money back because the owners had a disagreement with groupon and would not be taking them. I emailed groupon customer service and they are giving me my money back, although I really wish I was able to get my keratin done :( oh well, i guess having $69 back is better than nothing.

I made my appointment on a weekday and the only glitch was that I made the appt in the 9810 SW 77 Ave location and no one called me to tell me they CLOSED that location. No harm though because I called them and they saw me at the S. Dixie Hwy location. I had the Keratin Treatment done and my hair looks FAB!! They could not accomodate a second service ( I made an appt. for a pedicure) because the person that does them called in sick. I was not upset since I got KERATIN for $69…. can’t beat that with a bat!

I made my appointment with Roho 2 and a half months ago. They called me one month ago to tell me that the original location where I made the appointment was closing, and that they would acommodate me at the other (further away) location. Fine.
I called today to confirm my appointment for tomorrow, and the receptionist (who barely spoke English) had no record of my appointment. He said, “Oh, the computer wiped out all the appointments.” How do you expect to run a business?!?!

Trixie, can I please have my money back? I don’t trust these shady "business"people (if you can even call them that) with my business – much less with my hair!!! If they cheap out on redeeming services that honest customers have paid for IN ADVANCE, how can we be sure they won’t cheap out on the types of products or services they do to our hair? NOT WORTH IT FOR ME. I am respectfully requesting a full refund on this Groupon, please. (Don’t mind the 24 hour cancellation policy since they obviously don’t have any record of my appointment anyway.)
Trixie, I just called the Roho Salon 14441 S. Dixie Highway, Miami – (305) 271-4038 at was advised they no longer accept Groupons. I bought 3 when the deal was on but was only able to use 1. How disappointing to have a company use your website for business & then not follow through with their deal. Please refund my other two unused Groupons. Thanks, Jessica
I called Roho Beauty salon on last Thursday and got an appointment for the following Monday (my choice) for the Keratin treatment with no problems!
I got there early and Frank was super helpful explaining me the treatment and how to follow thru with other things I want to get done later on (color or highlights) he advised me to get a haircut with the keratin so the dead end will not end up looking funny…
The lady ( I am bad with names) who did my Keratin was very nice and very professional…the keratin treatment smelled yummy and did not burn my scalp, eyes, nothing… she did a great job also cutting my bangs the way I wanted them.
OH by the way she was american and Frank speaks perfect English…so I don’t understand how somebody will have language barriers with them!
Frank did not try to sell me expensive products once I told him I use salt free shampoo already…great, great guy.
I give this salon a 100% A+ review…my hair looks amazaing too.

I’m bummed … I also just had to request a refund from Groupon because Frank at Roho refused to honor my Groupon. According to him, Groupon hasn’t paid him since October. According to Groupon, they’ve tried to contact him several times but have been unable to. I’m caught in the middle, having prepaid for the Groupon. Groupon was very gracious and offered me a refund, but I really would rather have had the service instead. However, if the salon won’t honor it, then I have no choice than to take the refund. Frank at Roho told me I could come in and have the services done, but at full price … yeah, right!!! BTW, I bought 2 of these and used the first one in May with no problems. All I know is, after this experience, I’ll never go to or recommend Roho!
Made my appointment for next Tuesday 4/5 at 4pm. The man I spoke with seemed very helpful and I wish I didn’t have to get out of work early in order to redeem my groupon as it wasn’t stated in the purchasing terms, but I rather get the Keratin & color than a refund. I hope I don’t have all the troubles as people did above. I really need a good, reliable hair salon. So we’ll see!
I’d have to say despite all of the bad reviews here I had a really great time getting my hair done at this salon. Even though my hair dresser didn’t speak much English, she was very thorough, the color came out perfect and the Keratin is absolutely AWESOME! I got to brush up on my Spanish skills :) The owner was super nice, explained everything and frequently checked back to make sure everything was going well. Honestly, there was another lady with a Groupon who brought her friend with her and that lady was raising hell the whole time. I don’t know how the owner or stylist kept their cool. The lady getting her hair done didn’t get the desired result and so the stylist was happy to fix (darken) the color yet the other lady continued to make a scene..pacing…repeating…pacing. That was the only stressfull part of the whole appointment. So I will conclude that the drive from work all the way to Pinecrest in the heavy rain & storms and sitting from 3:15 pm (got there early) until after 7pm was totally worth it to get these services and I will go back. You won’t find Keratin that inexpensive anywhere. If you have your Groupon I would recommend you go. Oh and fellow Grouponers… tip good.

This promotion is confusing and the proposition is not clear. What EXACTLY do you get for $69 that is worth $395? The examples cited (except for the Keratin treatment) equal about $80-$85 retail. Can a person buy this Groupon for $69 and get a Keratin Treatment valued at $395?
