A perfect table setting requires pristine linens and polished cutlery, except at off-Broadway restaurants where waiters set every table in postapocalyptic Vienna. Avoid avant-garde eating with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of burgers, steaks, and American fare at Ruby Tuesday. This Groupon is valid at three San Antonio locations on U.S. Highway 281 North and Evans, Interstate Highway 10 and Wurzbach, and 1604 and Culebra in Alamo Ranch.

Ruby Tuesday’s flavor maestros sizzle up a classic lineup of American fare, composing a menu of meaty entrees, New Orleans–style seafood, fresh salad offerings at a garden bar, and USDA Choice burgers that have never seen the inside of a freezer. A four-way sampler runs the appetizer gamut with crispy chicken strips, fire wings, southwestern spring rolls, and fried mozzarella ($11.99) before a handcrafted Boston Blue burger ($10.99) inundates taste buds with blue-cheese crumbles, crispy onion rings, Boston barbecue sauce, and sautéed treatises decrying taxation without representation. Soused in tangy barbecue sauce, slow-cooked baby back ribs ($12.99) slide right off the bone at the mere mention of a fork, and fit and trim dishes, such as the signature barbecue grilled chicken ($10.99), sport deliciously pared-down caloric profiles. Otherwise, the chef's cut sirloin ($14.99) sharpens incisors alongside made-from-scratch garlic cheese biscuits and two sides, making for a more flavorsome lineup of characters than Les Misérables with an all-gummy-bear cast. Ruby Tuesday encourages diners to revel in American nostalgia with classic grill provisions served amid wooden accents and TVs broadcasting football games via satellite. Guests can also log on to free WiFi hot spots to check in with fellow diners or live stream a xylophone solo by baby back ribs.
