I’ll be a returning runner for the fall season. How does this coupon work if it’s “$20 for $50 worth of …training programs at RGR?” I think a returning runner is $85 for the season.
The only training program we can’t use this GroupOn for is USA Fit San Antonio… because that is paid directly to USA Fit. But for any of the RGR Training programs, you can apply the GroupOn for $50 off the program fee. Or you could use it for your new pair of training shoes!

I went to the web site to see what kind of shoes you might have for men – my husband wants to start running and I needed to see your price range, but when I clicked on gear, running shoes, men – there was not a shoe in sight. I found that hard to believe. Why don’t you post all your inventory?
I’m looking for a good heart rate monitor, is that included in the deal? And does the store even sell those?
@Maribel – unfortunately some of our vendors do not allow us to sell/advertise their shoes online. We do carry shoes from Brooks, Mizuno, ASICS & Saucony. Next month we will also be getting Vibram Five Fingers, too. Thanks for asking!

How do your prices on running shoes compare to Fleet Feet and Roger Soler? Are you guys all MSRP, or is there a difference?
do you carry women’s shoes in size 12? needing some new running shoes to alternate, but having a hard time finding good ones in larger sizes -

@Jo – we normally stock up to women’s size 11 but we can definitely special order a size 12 for you if needed. Most brands to make at least some of their models in that size. Some women also like to try the men’s equivalent — they are usually just a little wider.
@Jennifer – we sell all of our shoes at MSRP and I’m pretty sure those other guys do too :) We also pride ourselves on offering a lot of information & knowledge along with our friendly cusomter service!
I have a very narrow (and bony) foot, and have had much better luck sticking to the women’s brands.
as it is very difficult to judge if a shoe in the wrong size will fit comfortably in the correct size (ie – trying on an 11 and having to order a 12), do you charge a re-stocking fee for special orders that are returned, or not purchased?
@Jo – @Ashley – I have bought my last two pairs of shoes at Run Gear Run! They are great to work with and the first time even had a 12 in stock!! I know amazing find for us tall women! :-) I currently am wearing a men’s shoe from Brooks (they are generally not quite as wide as other brands) but the 12s that I had before were from Asics… Don’t be afraid of men’s shoes – just have to try them out :-)

I doubt it but does RGR have VO2/metabolic testing? Not quite traditionally under the category of “training”…
