During tours, riders embark on a journey through Temecula's wine country, soaking up local history and sampling wines along the way. Saddle Up Wine Tours’ guides regale groups with historical tidbits, recounting the stories of local vineyards and ranches, as well as the area itself. Each tour guide is an experienced rider, capable of elucidating aspects of horsemanship as well. Once groups reach the wineries, vintners explain the winemaking process while guests sip samples of their locally crafted varietals. Each tour runs approximately three hours. A set of five tastings may be substituted for a full glass of wine. Riders must wear helmets and closed-toe shoes and are advised to wear long pants.
