During keratin treatments, stylists use a protein-infused serum to naturally repair the hair cuticle.

Brazilian Blowouts follow a similar process, but use the strand-smoothing power of a polymer system that layers around the hair shaft to eliminate frizz. Each treatment typically takes about 90 minutes and keeps hair smooth for up to two and a half months.

Salon Victoria

The passionate stylists at Salon Victoria revamp hair with European-influenced techniques and expert color processing. From individual salon stations, stylists pamper tresses with hair services ranging from cuts and colors to perms and frizz-fighting Brazilian blowouts. Manicure and pedicure services are also available to pamper digits for special events and secret-handshake competitions, and waxing services evict rogue hairs sprouting from a variety of locales that span from the eyebrows to the legs.

Some hair-straightening products that claim to be formaldehyde-free include aldehyde compounds, which are similar to the carcinogen formaldehyde. Side effects may include nosebleeds, headaches, vomiting, and respiratory problems, among others. Learn more about the health risks here.

The Groupon Guide to: Forensics

Detectives use the scientific principles of forensics to track down criminals and lock them away in the American Criminal Vault. Here's your guide to tracking down bad guys like a pro:

Look for Fingerprints: Criminals cover their hands in a thick layer of petroleum jelly before committing theft so that they can easily pick up any stray flecks of gold lying around rich people's houses; however, this sticky hand coating often leaves behind incriminating residue.

Collect Clues: Anything that seems amiss could be a clue: a half-written letter, a shower left running, a man tied to a pole in a basement. Don't take these little hints for granted.

Interview Witnesses: Contrary to popular belief, 94% of crimes are committed in the presence of a court-certified, undercover witness. These "viewers of violence," "watchers of wayward acts," and "minders of malfeasance" could be anyone from the man on the street corner asking if you know where he could watch some crimes to the woman in your office asking if you know where she could watch some crimes. Listen to what these "beholders of beheading" have to say.

Where are the beholders of beheading hiding?
