Though he is not bound by the laws of physics, Santa Claus is duty bound to eat every cookie, brisket, and can of pumpkin pie filling you leave out for him. Meet and greet the sweet-toothed Saint Nick with today’s Groupon: for $12, you get a picture with Santa, including an 8"x10" print, at Santa's NorthShore Workshop (a $25 value).
Santa's NorthShore Workshop's holiday photographers capture Christmas smiles as children and pets strike poses with Santa Claus in a festively decorated setting. In a career that began in the Oak Street Playhouse's 2003 production of Miracle on 34th Street, the workshop's fully insured and background-checked Santa has donned the scarlet suit at malls, children's parties, and periodic sleigh-oil-changes for eight Christmas seasons. Subjects gather around jolly Saint Nick during each session, whispering their holiday wishes as photographers snap a series of portraits on a set decked with brightly wrapped presents and ornamented evergreens. After customers select their favorite shot of the merry duo, photographers print the scene onto an 8”x10” image ideal for giving to friends or inspiring envy in local tooth fairies. During the Christmas season, Santa's NorthShore Workshop is open Sunday–Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, and the workshop is always available by appointment.

Santa Richard Bonnington first stepped into the shoes and red suit of the holiday celebrity in a 2003 production of Miracle on 34th Street. Since then, it's been Santa all the way: he's appeared as Santa at corporate children's parties, accompanied gift donations to charities, and added holiday cheer to nursing homes. He's been the full-time mall-Santa for two different malls, is the official Santa of the local Toys-4-Tots program, and holds a degree in Santa Claus certification.
