Questions and Answers

Can you transfer Super 8 films? These are from a Sony Video 8 Handycam.

Hi Linda! It sounds like you have video 8 tapes instead of super 8 reel to reel film. We have the ability to transfer both, but the pricing is different. You can review our pricing and a visual reference at http://www.scandigital.com/film-and-video-pricing.php. Please feel free to contact us at support@scandigital.com with any further questions.

1) Do you convert super-8 home movies to DVDs? 2) If you do, what is the charge? "The Fine Print" is not clear at all. I have quite a number of movies. I don't find a way to calculate what the charge would be per reel? 3) I want to do this, but I'm totally confused...

Hi Marinell! Yes, we can convert Super 8 movies to DVD. With the premium transfer, we transfer reel to reel film for $.28 per foot. You will receive viewable only DVDs which you can watch on your DVD player or computer. You can estimate your footage based upon the diameter of the reel: 3 inch reel = 50 feet 4 inch reel = 100 feet 5 inch reel = 200 feet 6 inch reel = 300 feet 7 inch reel = 400 feet For more information, you can view our Film and Video pricing page at: https://www.scandigital.com/film_video_pricing.php. Please feel free to contact us at support@scandigital.com with any more questions.
