Questions and Answers

I bought a groupon coupon for YesVideo and need you to tell me how to contact them. Thanks. Susan spresto@usc.edu

susan p. asked 6 months, 25 days, 10 hours, and 43 minutes ago - 1 answer

Anderson S.

Susan - YesVideo is a different company. You'll need to contact Groupon for help with your redemption of that voucher. Thanks for your interest and please let us know if you have additional questions!

Anderson S. answered 6 months, 25 days, 10 hours, and 41 minutes ago

So the $115 option only pertains to the photo transfer option? And if I need to transfer more than 5 tapes I need to buy multiple $40 groupons?

jan m. asked 6 months, 26 days, 4 hours, and 45 minutes ago - 1 answer

Anderson S.

Jan - Either option can be applied to our full range of services. If you need to transfer more than 5 video tapes, the $300 option covers 15 tapes or 2 $100 vouchers would cover 10 video tapes. I hope this clears up any confusion you might have, but if not just let us know. We will be monitoring these boards all weekend.

Do you guys work with PAL VHS as well into DVD? and if so how much per tape? I have some from Europe I would love to digitalize. Thanks

Barbara M. asked 6 months, 27 days, 15 hours, and 56 minutes ago - 2 answers

Anderson S.

Barbara - yes we can process PAL tapes for you and they are $19.95 per tape. Happy Thanksgiving and please let us know if you have any other questions!

Anderson S. answered 6 months, 27 days, 8 hours, and 40 minutes ago

Anderson S.

Barbara - I'm sorry, I just realized that I had a typo here. PAL tapes are $29.95 not $19.95 per tape. My apologies!

I have several VHS tapes and would like to have a portion of each one (of me). Is this possible?

Romaine M. asked 6 months, 26 days, 20 hours, and 25 minutes ago - 1 answer

Anderson S.

Romaine - The best way to accomplish this is to opt for our hard drive option. This will provide editable files for you so that you can edit them on your own to the portions you would like. Unfortunately, we cannot edit them for you. Thanks for your interest in ScanDigital and please let us know if you have other questions!

What state are you located in and who pays for the shipping to/from? Is it UPS Ground and traceable?

Beth C. asked 6 months, 27 days, 8 hours, and 9 minutes ago - 1 answer

Anderson S.

Beth - We have two processing facilities - one in Southern California and the other in Central Missouri. The cost of shipping is covered by the customer but your groupon voucher can be applied to these costs. UPS ground is fully trackable through our system. Thanks for your interest in ScanDigital and please let us know if you have other questions!

For the expert transfer service, is it possible to get videos digitized to Pro Res format instead of AVI or MP4?

Natane D. asked 6 months, 27 days, 19 hours, and 32 minutes ago - 1 answer

Anderson S.

Natane - unfortunately all expert transfer files are delivered in AVI format. Happy Thanksgiving and please let us know if you have any other questions!

I have about 200 photos of different sizes (no bigger than about 8 x 10). Can you scan them and make a CD for me? Thanks so much. Rina

RINA S. asked 6 months, 27 days, 19 hours, and 59 minutes ago - 1 answer

Koa N.

Hi RINA - Yes, we are able to scan your photos and return the digital images on disc. Each photo of 8x10 or smaller will be charged $0.48 each for normal resolution scans, so you can have 200 photos scanned with our $100 option.

Koa N. answered 6 months, 27 days, 19 hours, and 20 minutes ago

Is each High 8 tape considered to be one tape, regardless of the length? Mine should be two hours each but may be longer if the quality of the videotaping was on the lower option.

Teresa G. asked 6 months, 27 days, 20 hours, and 40 seconds ago - 1 answer

Koa N.

Hi Teresa - We charge $19.95 per tape, for any tape that is 2 hours or less. If your tape is longer than 2 hours, it will require multiple discs and be charged as multiple tape transfers. For example, if your tape is 3 hours in length, the footage will be transferred to 2 discs and be charged $19.95 twice. If you are concerned with overage charges, you can include a note with your order to only transfer the first 2 hours to ensure you are only charged $19.95, but you may miss important memories at the end of your tape.

If I sent you 5 VHS tapes, would they go on one DVD or 5 DVDs? Shirley

Shirley L. asked 6 months, 27 days, 20 hours, and 51 minutes ago - 1 answer

Koa N.

Hi Shirley - Our system is setup as a one-to-one transfer so each tape will receive its own DVD. This helps to keep your memories organized.

Koa N. answered 6 months, 27 days, 19 hours, and 24 minutes ago

Can the archived video files be edited using my Apple video editing software?

Robert E. asked 6 months, 27 days, 21 hours, and 15 minutes ago - 1 answer

Koa N.

Hi Robert - We have two transfer options for your video tapes. Our premium video transfer is $19.95 per tape and results in a DVD. If you'd like to provide an external hard drive, we can also provide you with the resulting mpeg video file from the transfer. Our expert video transfer is $29.95 per tape and requires an external hard drive. We will provide a DVD and higher quality AVI files loaded to your hard drive. Please check your software specifications to verify that it can handle mpeg files or AVI files.
