Questions and Answers

I have 35mm slides to convert. What is your upgrade price for slides with this Groupon deal? Additionally, I am curious to know where the work is done. Specifically, I am wondering whether my photos and/or slides will be processed outside of the US and if so, where?

How clear is a 300 dpi JPeg? What is the normal resolution. Can you pay for an upgrade for higher resolution. Elaine

Elaine S. asked 2 months, 11 days, 18 hours, and 45 minutes ago - 1 answer

ScanMyPhotos.com .

Elaine - 300 DPI is good for print reproduction of the same size or for viewing on a computer. 600 DPI is better to "future-proof" your photos. As screen resolutions increase, so will your scanned images to maintain viewing quality. Additionally, scanning at a higher resolution allows for larger, crisper photo reproductions. For example, a 4x6 scanned at 300 DPI can reproduce a 4x6 or a 5x7 print whereas a 600 DPI scan can print up to 16x20. Please visit http://www.scanmyphotos.com/300v600dpi.php for more information. Yes, the 600dpi upgrade is $24.00 per groupon when ordering the 500 groupon deal or $29.00 per groupon when ordering the 1000 groupon deal. First, purchase the Groupon deal today. Then, when submitting your photos to us for scanning, select the option 600dpi scanning on the order form.

Could you put the pictures to music?

Charlotte M. asked 2 months, 13 days, and 41 minutes ago - 1 answer

ScanMyPhotos.com .

Charlotte - Welcome to ScanMyPhotos.com, we're glad you found us. We save all your images onto a DVD data disc. We do not offer the service to add music to this disc as this is not a slide show movie.

I'm a little worried about having this done. I would really like to have pictures of my parents and childhood days with our family on this DVD. My pictures are about 50 years old or more and they are mostly black and white and some are different sizes. Will this work for them.

I would love to do this, but my photos are priceless (to me!). Have you ever had problems with them getting lost or ruined in transit? I would be devastated.

Marilyn V. asked 2 months, 14 days, 2 hours, and 41 minutes ago - 1 answer

ScanMyPhotos.com .

Marilyn - Welcome to ScanMyPhotos.com, we're glad you found us. ScanMyPhotos.com, founded back in 1990 is a leader in the photo imaging industry and professionally scans tens of millions of photos. You may use any shipping company you that are most comfortable with. However, we cannot warrantee or guarantee courier deliveries. You can send via signature confirmation and other specialty services and we do digitally archive and backup your entire order for 15-days as an added precaution. That said, the real problem is if you don’t have your pictures digitized, as then they do risk getting tucked away at home and misplaced, inadvertently thrown away, faded or lost due to fire, flood, etc. so either way there is a risk involved. If you don't use us, we HIGHLY recommend digitizing and backing up your photos ASAP.
